Warmest Year On Record In Dallas

#1 Postby canegrl04 » Fri Aug 18, 2006 4:36 pm

So far this year, the temp is averaging 82.7 degress. Tied for second place is 1952 and 1925 with avg. highs of 80.5 degrees, and the year 2000 comes in at 80.4 degrees

Right now,its a blistering 104 .We have gone an entire week above 100 degrees. No real relief in sight . The outlook for North Texas thru November is persistent drought. Its going to get real ugly before the end of the year

If it's the CPC 3 month lead forecasts, then I wouldn't buy into that yet. With the possibility that an El Nino is developing that could change. Texas weather is historically cooler and wetter than average during El Nino's. We can hope.
