Both Bezerkley (Berkley) across the Bay from SFO and Santa Cruz down the coast have had City Councils dominated by actual members of the Communist Party. It was said of SFO during the heyday of Harry Bridges that SFO had the largest Communist Party Cell outside of the USSR and the PRC.

Still...I would love to live in a place that's a little less restrictive than here. Salt Lake City itself may not be conservative, but it's just a liberal haven surrounded by fierce religious conservatives.

Yes, elections there feature the Democrats v. the Communists, with the Democrats being the conservative party. LOL. It's just a different world.
