...Winter Storm Watch For Saturday Evening Through Midday Monday...

Rain Is Expected To Change To Sleet And Freezing Rain Saturday Evening Continuing Through Sunday Night Before Ending As A Freezing Rain And Rain Mix On Monday Morning. There Is Still Considerable Uncertainty As To How Much Precipitation Might Fall And What The Predominant Precipitation Type Will Be. Both The Amount Of Precipitation And The Predominant Precipitation Type Is Highly Dependent On The Exact Track Of The Developing Storm And The Extent Of Cold Canadian Air That Moves Into Central North Carolina.

A Winter Storm Watch Is Issued When Severe Winter Weather Is Possible, But Not Imminent. At This Time There Is At Least The Potential For Sleet To Accumulate On Roads And Other Surfaces And For Enough Freezing Rain To Possibly Cause Some Tree And Power Line Damage. Driving And Walking Conditions May Become Hazardous In The Watch Area Saturday Night And Sunday. It Is Important To Monitor The Latest Forecasts.

I'm hoping the CAD is stronger (which I think it will), because that will give you a better chance at changing over to sleet ... and less freezing rain to contend with ... (sleet is good for retaining power).
