Meteor Shower?

#1 Postby M2 » Thu Jun 26, 2003 1:35 am

Have you seen any meteorites the last week or so? Wondering if
there is a small shower now - we saw a large meteorite last night;
the family saw two, bright enough to be observed back East through
the window at night...

the June Bootids are occurring right now. The Areitids are a daytime shower so they would not be visible except for a brief period before sunrise.

Thanks Steve - I'll have to read up on those. Presumed
it was something designated as they've been bright and
seen over several states.
