First Frost on the Pumpkin

It wasn't a hard freeze and you can see that it has affected some annuals that had no shelter from the shrubs or trees, but this was the first morning I had to use the ol' scraper on the car windows.

I always start missing the motherland this time of year.

Ah welll....please enjoy the leaves, cool air, the smell of pumpkins and burning leaves, and the mating chipmunks birds squirrels and everything else for me, and I will try to enjoy the 83 degrees and sunny October I'm having yet hating.

Our pumpkins are long gone by our first frost normally. :ggreen:

We don't usually see first freeze till December 12 and only then if we are lucky.

I can't even imagine a first frost as late as December! To me, it's almost like "why bother"? LOL!

We are truly fortunate to be able to live in a country that has such a wide variety of climates.
