Monthly SOI average for September is at 18.89, highest since May.

Fall is likely going to be a scorcher. :x

Pretty stable weather to continue. Looks about average to maybe a couple degrees above.

One third year analog year is 2000. Back then early October flipped dramatically from the record heat in September. After some hot opening days to October a complete reversal occurred the second week of October with record low max days (50s) and lows around 40 for a couple for DFW. I don't think we will see that kind of flip this year, it would already be on the radar. We'll probably ride this pattern through November at least the first half.

Near perfect weather the last few days in DFW. The only persons I've heard or seen complain about it are on this board. LOL

We need the rain to keep away the drought. That is the only thing that is preventing the perfect weather is the drought.

I’m loving the weather. Not too hot or cool. I can wait on cold until mid-November with weather like this. Just need a little rain.

Yeah we need rain. It’s especially bad in Oklahoma right now.

I would like upper 70's as highs but I do like the upper 50's in the morning. I hope it stays like this for a while, but I already see the low 90's creeping back.

If the 6z gfs is correct, we could see some rain chances come back into the picture in about 10-11 days. Honestly looks kind of like a severe weather setup to me, but it’s still so far out. If future runs keep this pattern maybe it’s something to watch

We're mostly having dry fronts in the next 5-7 days though, at least we won't reach the 100s again, hopefully.

I just looked at how much I'm below normal on rainfall YTD, it's awful.

My area is 12-13 inches below normal. :(

Latest GFS and recent Euro runs build a decent cold air mass over Canada and sends a chunk this way about 10-14 days away. Would be a 'real' front and not just climo change air if true.

I’ve had 16” YTD. Normally would be between 35-40” rn.

I am loving this weather but yes we need a good soaking rain for awhile. I noticed earlier the creek next to my apartment has basically dried up and the Arkansas River isn't much better down the road

The Little River south of town is almost completely dried up.

KFOR is showing highs in the mid-60s next week! Maybe they and I are too hopeful for this upcoming cold front.

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation

Please don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

Chamber of commerce weather, great for the state fair.

FYI in a week's time average highs should be mid to upper 70s and lows mid 50s.
