Severe wx, tornado warning for New Orleans area

A tornado warning is in effect for Jefferson, Laflourche, Orleans, and St Cahrles Parishes including the city of New Orleans in effect until 7:15 am cst. At 6:42 am cst, doppler radar showed a thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado 4 miles west of Waggman or about 4 miles southwest of Kenner moving northeast at 40 mph.

Large hail up to golfball size has been reported in Lockport with this storm.

Very sudden increase in storms in Eastern parts of Southern Louisiana and the New Orleans area

See loop here quick while increase is still caught in loop....

Driving in to work this morning was very nasty. Things have quieted down some now. Just drizzling at the moment.
