PM MST (100 PM MDT TO 800 PM MDT) FOR MUCH OF EAST CENTRAL AND
NORTHEAST ARIZONA BELOW 7000 FEET...

AN APPROACHING STORM SYSTEM WILL CAUSE SOUTHWEST WINDS TO INCREASE
TO 20 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS NEAR 35 MPH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. THIS
WILL COMBINE WITH LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITIES TO CREATE HAZARDOUS FIRE

FOR THURSDAY...A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH NORTHERN

we still have red flag concerns here in Central IL despite the passing front having dropped minimal precip. this namely in S IL. p

looking at the progged winds for tomorrow, we are looking at a day much like Saturday for your area. I am going for 20-30mph with locally higher gusts down here and the airmass trajectory is not a moist one-this system will be another one to beat up on the Plains and midwest when it gets out there.

That's the thing with Az, now matter HOW much precip we receive, the "Hurricane Force Spring Winds" we receive, wipes it out in a matter of a few weeks.......and they call Chicago "The Windy City!" "Phhhft!" Chicago ain't got NUTHIN' on the Windy White Mountains of Az.

when the air becomes drier than Lizard Lips with humidity values lower than a snake's belly and the wind blows at 40-60 mph things dry out fast. Looking at H5 wind of 50-60kt tomorrow and I'm going for local gusts to 45mph down here. Pinetop, if I recall correctly is just east of the crest of the Rim which means that you could get a downslope component to uptick your winds. At any rate it's going to be a tad on the windy side to be sure.
