I'm confused on being in the High Risk... I thought being in the high risk meant we would get severe weather... but the sun is shining , and there's no sign of anything severe coming this way--not even a tornado watch.

A chance of severe weather or a high risk of severe weather developing is what the forecast is. It does not mean it will happen. It means the ingredients in the atmosphere seem to be right for the probability of severe weather developing.

Why hasnt TWC been talking about the high risk? They make it sound like just another tornado outbreak and dont stress the high risk nor do they mention that the watches are PDS tornado watches. Doesnt the SPC put issue PDS tornado watches so the public will know that its an particullarly dangerous situation? Or is this just for NWS's knowledge?

I notice the NWS dont read the original tornado watch on Noaa radio anymore, they just give the counties and the Public Severe Weather outlook isnt broadcasted either.

Well, KC reporting in. We got incoming. Looking like a lot of lightning, heavy rains, and some hail right now. County over in the north part has a Doppler indicated Tornado Warning.
