That's great news!

I know that you're getting way to much rain in one shot, but this was probably the only way that Florida was going to get rid of it's drought, other than by a tropical storm or hurricane. I guess we could consider it a fortunate set of circumstances that it wasn't a tropical storm or hurricane.

Not so fast....Lake O dropped to 10.75 feet (-0.02 from prior day) as of latest update.

The title in this threat should be changed. The water level is at 10.77ft. its leveled off.Apparently the rain we had wasn't enough to really raise the water level in Lake O. I would of thought with the amount of rain we had it would of been around 12 ft.

I don't think the rain fell on the Kissimee basin. I know that there was a lot of rain on the easter side of Volusia county. Maybe that doesn't go into the Kissismmee river.
I do know that the lake behind my house has gone up by a foot. It is as high as it usually gets this time of year.

are they still releasing? i am wondering since we have gotten so much rain in this area and the grounds are soaked and beginning to spill over here in north central Palm Beach county. Our pond is rising quickly with every rain we get now. It better slow down.

Rainy season started earlier than normal this year -- it will all depend on the long-wave patterns that setup across the Eastern CONUS -- and the presence of any tropical systems impacting our region.

This week will feature abundant rain and some strong/severe storms for the SE Coast metro areas as wind flow is SW to NE at the low-levels and aloft with a couple of short-waves passing through which will cool the upper atmosphere a great deal....

Looks like we go back to an east wind regime by this weekend though, with some dry air intrusion behind a washed out trough....at any rate -- I'm thinking we may have a very wet summer indeed here in Southern Florida.
