About 1.3" at the PWC in the last few hours. Wonderful!

Re: Texas Spring-2014
The 12Z Global guidance appears to be in good agreement regard the movement of the upper low/trough into the Eastern half of Texas and the Western half of Louisiana before filling in and warming. The guidance continues to advertise a multi day rainfall event, heavy at times extending into upcoming weekend. Blocky patterns such as this tend to be efficient rain makers and as we are seeing the Bexar County as well as the Victoria area, the ground is saturating rather quickly and the bodes well for flash flooding as the daily storms move across the Region.

Looks like the watersheds that benefit the Austin and metro area water supply got a nice soaking yesterday and part of today. Looks like Buchanan and Travis lake levels may rise a couple of inches from stuff that has fallen so far. Not much, but Every little bit helps!

Still raining moderately here, but I see the end on radar. Maybe more later(?).

The recent rains this past week are going to be highly beneficial to the Colorado River Basin, which has been lacking as of late. (Source: http://hydromet.lcra.org/ )

DUMPING here in SL right now. So far only .6 inches but much more to go. I think we see 3 inches before this event is over.

The heaviest stuff has tapered off here, but I am measuring about 2.6" today at my house. It was coming down like crazy for about 45 min. Many yards on my street are lakes right now. Looks like another round in the morning as well. I am loving this!

I am delighted for everyone getting rain, that's a great thing! The PWC is probably giving out grey goose in celebration!
Hopefully tomorrow is our day on the east side of the Metroplex.

Re: Texas Spring-2014
Today offers another complicated forecast. Showers and storms are developing across Metro Houston at this hour ahead of the slowly advancing line near Bryan/College Station. The upper low is spinning near Childress and continues to drift ESE. Stronger storms extend back to Junction at this hour. PW's of +2.0 Inches are in place with the Gulf open for business again after recovering from yesterday's storms. The WPC has placed a Moderate Risk for excessive rainfall from the Victoria Crossroads thru Metro Houston into Beaumont/Lake Charles and further E iinto Louisiana. As the morning continues the atmosphere should further destabilize lending to high rainfall rates on top of the 2 to 7 inches that has already fallen. The ground is saturated so additional heavy training storms will lead to flooding issues.

It's not just you, but the DFW area. Today was supposed to be our big rain day so we'll just have to wait and see. We need the big rain area to the south to move further off to the east, because it's probably robbing us of inflow.
