Rain miser the 2nd here got 3.78” of rain in SW Austin ! Beat ya ! Hehehe

South Austin got more than the north side it appears, but I'm happy. It's 65 degrees! :D

Also check this out. The most interesting thing is the direction the tornadoes traveled just like 1997. Also I have never seen one of those pictures before. The one showing the tornado in the distance. I've seen the others though.

Now all we need is for a forumer to transform into the dreaded Dry Miser. I put together an avatar just for the occasion...

DFW still hasn't hit 90F this year but things look pretty good next week even though FWD isn't forecasting any 90s. The Euro and Euro EPS show a dry warm week for most of Texas before another storm system brings storms back just before mid-month.

Beautiful mostly sunny SE TX weather the rest of the weekend and through next week. The first 90s of the year will arrive next week.

A gateway to the Talkin’ Tropics thread..............27 days until Hurricane Season 2018. This is the time to be prepared and make plans should they be needed this season. Many lessons learned from Rita 2005, IKE 2008, and Harvey 2017.

FWD released a really really really cool recap of 2017's top weather events, everybody should check it out:
http://noaa.maps.arcgis.com/apps/MapSer ... e5815f0cd2

Unfortunately it was a very very boring weather year in North Texas, but the infornation in this product is still amazing.

Preview of summer this week. Mostly boring, warm 90s and lows in the 60s to near 70. Good time to get your AC serviced/maintenance

Pool's been fixed, I'm ready to start swimming! So cool to have a pool for the warm weather now.

The Euor EPS is wetter than the GEFS over the next two weeks. There is pretty good agreement between the two that the MJO will move through P1 and P2 over the next two weeks and that is a wet phase for Texas in May. Also, Global AAM looks to transition to a setup favorable for svr wx across the Southern Plains. As Ntwx said, enjoy this week to get out to get the fence stained and to the pool b/c next week is starting to look pretty wet.
