Oh no, not a 5/10/2010 repeat!

That day was extremely scary for me . . .

There's no way it's gonna be another 5/10/10 repeat lol

My house narrowly missed not 1, not 2, but 3 tornadoes on the same day! One to the east & 2 to the west!

I don’t want to repeat again! It was too scary even though I’ve STILL not seen a tornado with my own eyes . . .

You would probably have been pretty close to the EF4 that narrowly missed the NWC building right? Must have been scary watching that one coming in

PDS warning for Yazoo City. Might take a direct hit

EDIT: Looks like it's passing Yazoo City just to the south

PDS warning including Tupelo... This is one of the biggest over performing slight risk days I've ever tracked when it comes to tornado activity... Enhanced risk doing it's thing with that MCS up there too

Seeing some pretty extensive damage reports from the Tupelo area. Not a good situation.

Calhoun County (place hit by that earlier PDS tor) has also declared a state of emergency as a result of the damage there.

Tupelo is a pretty populated area. Not good at all.

A few thoughts for tomorrow:
We're looking at what should be another significant event tomorrow. I'm thinking SPC will add an enhanced risk with the 6z outlook in a little while, and it should turn out to be another dangerous day, hopefully not as destructive as today.

As far as the plains go however, there are several issues with tomorrow that will prevent this from being significant. The cap will be very strong, so the storms themselves shouldn't even be able to develop until the evening. On top of that, the cold front will move through the area before the trough does so that will also highly limit the severe potential, and will shift it east. There's just not really anything that looks good for a significant event at this time...

EDIT: Well there's a 45 sigtor contour that came out of nowhere so I guess there's a chance they may keep the slight risk in OK. Still not expecting much though.

Even though there may not be a tornado outbreak here, the hail size potential is making me worried . . .
