Front just hit in Temple. And according to radar some rain is forming like in DFW or around I-20

Might not mean much yet but it appears the 00z GFS is trying to bring back Alaskan ridging at day 9/10, we will see about that

That’s some pretty heavy snow up in the panhandle. Kinda shocked none of the Hi-res or global models picked it up.

Long as we can maintain normal temperatures from here out Winter will be just fine.

Oh i understand. It's tough. I like the expected pattern for DJF. I think there will be multiple winter storms in the southern plains this year.

The pacific jet looks like it may retract during week 2 of december, this allows the trough over the east coast to retrogade more back to the west, already the Euro and GFS models show a relaxation of the + PNA pattern as well, could possibly open the door to a more central us cold blast if other things come together

I've been thinking as December moves along, the +PNA will trend weaker
