I think what's happening right now speaks for itself, they can and are breaking up in the highest favorable areas. I'm not sure you would still call them supercells.

I'm getting an impressive 75 Dbz on that TOR warned area near Riley with very large hail. I had a feeling that would get TOR warned.

I see that, now. Looked to be holding strong, but now starting to see some fractures. I just read a tweet from an Army wife about 30 minutes ago at Fort Riley who was upset with her husband for waking her up because of a tornado warning. I took one look at the doppler there and told her she needed to listen to her husband. Wasn't looking pretty.

Going to turn in for the night.

What a sad ending to this High Risk outbreak day with 120 tornado reports (last number I saw).

One of the worst tornadoes of the day and the one that has produced four fatalities so far hits Woodward, Okla. at 12:20 a.m.

Prayers for their community and those helping them right now.

Wow...I had to screen capture from the YouTube video to make sure I was seeing it correctly:

Here is the video of the tornado in Woodward:

Screenshot of a power flash illuminates the sky a split second and you can see the tornado bearing down:

The tornado family is known as the Glazier-Higgins-Woodward tornadoes. It ranks #6 on the list of deadliest tornadoes in the U.S.

4 dead now, I didn't think this outbreak would ravage the plains without some casualties but usually the toll is lower for Kansas and Oklahoma. The tornado siren not going off might have been the reason, this happened in a trailer park (surprise!). I would never be in a trailer on a high risk day, I would be staying somewhere else. Damage so far in the hundreds of millions, I expect it to go up.

High Risk is still in effect as of 1.5 hours ago which is amazing for the middle of the night. They usually take it off I believe. The Squall-Line completely broke up over central Kansas. For that super long-lived supercell that went to Wichita, I wonder if there will be EF5 damage near the OK/KS boarder when it was at its peak? It had to have hit something during all that time on the ground but then I realized that it was taking advantage of the best conditions of the outbreak (Sigtor perma.).

Actually if you go back just a few pages almost the exact same frame was posted but you could see the debris and funnel a lot better.

Channel 9 OKC: The Red Cross and OKARNG shelter has been moved to the Living Word Fellowship Church in Woodward at 1310 Oklahoma Ave. Anyone who has been displaced can go there for relief. You can also go here if you are looking for family or if you'd like to drop off supplies.
