The HRRR is trying to clear it all out in about three hours. Trick-or-treaters will probably get a little wet.

Well, active afternoon for me. I knew about the risk today and monitored some storms earlier. Was not prepared for the "tornado in your area, take cover now," text. It was coming right at me basically and slightly shifted right. Passed about 1 mile east of me.

Two rotations went by me. During both, winds picked up, there was on and off REALLY hard rain, and was pitch black. My weather station switched wind directions twice during this as well. Got a little worried for sure at one point.

I took a video on radarscope, maybe i'll put it up.

Not surprised by this. I posted last night the subtropical jet was strong and linkage from the EPAC tropical convection bubble.

Note this is the 7th time DFW has hit 50" of rain.

Lots of severe weather in SE TX

not surprised here either, been on the wetter trend since the weekend when the models were debating

does seem like the worst of the rain is moving fairly quick though

We’re really going to have to pay attention to this next storm system coming in around Sunday/Monday. Looks to be even stronger than the current one.

While this system may have under-performed in Austin, it sure did over-perform in San Antonio. My parent's house had 2 inches of rain in an hour along with 40 mph wind gusts. Some parts of town saw some hail as well.

It's been a crazy afternoon here in Houston, with several reports of tornadoes and flooding. And we still have the main squall line to go in a few hours. What a dynamic storm system!

If you follow Larry Cosgrove, he thinks the next storm system will be stronger than this one. He says that’s the one that really has his attention.

Yeah, we went out trick or treating about 6:30, and it started raining.lol. Had a couple strikes of lightning, but didn't last long.

I made the decision to keep going, as they relied on me for the weather radar updates.

Just got a little wet. My six year old didn't mind the wet. Mrs. Weatherdude and I had umbrellas.lol.

It was chilly! On way home from work. It got really windy with leaves and trash blowing around, moving the car at times! Thermometer on car went from the 80s to 63.

No severe weather to report here. Nothing but a rain event here with lots of lightning and thunder. There was a confirmed tornado 25 min north of me though earlier today in Eagle Lake around 3pm.
