Strange weather for this time of year for sure. I could have sworn it was June outside the past few days.

Yes.. conditions are more like June then April and it looks like the rain chances for Central and South Florida will be around through early next week. :D

Already some nice buildups here in the Orlando area, so things may start popping much earlier than yesterday when it was not until 5 PM that we had thunderstorms pop.

Yes,, more convective build up today then Yesterday and some popcorn type convection all ready firing up. Looks like shower/t-storm coverage might be higher today then yesterday.

Could be the Nina making unusual early conditions. The line of convection clouds over the mainland the last fews days was early.

Raining, windy, thundering, etc here in Lakeland. Relaxing... watching it rain... listening to "The Birthday Massacre"...

I love it.

That's what I like about Polk County... Rain, Lightning, and the Polk County Video Awards, (which I am in this year :cheesy: )

Other than that... meh.

Quiet afternoon here. No storms or wind. There is a nice SW breeze associated
with the sea breeze. My forecast for big storms over saint pete was a bust, but
that's okay! Yesterday's action was intense enough to keep me happy for weeks!

Here's some more for you, this was looking east as the eastcoast seabreeze moving inland started to develop towering cumulus around 2 PM this afternoon, with inland temps in the upper 80s about that time.

Fairly noisy night tonight, with thunderstorms to my west, it sounds like if we were in the middle of the rainy season, not April 3rd.

Nice cloud pics by the way.

Those are classical shelf clouds. They are quite common, and I regularly observe them with SHRA and low-topped thunderstorms during each year. It's always a reminder of the rainy season in southern Florida.

Your photographs are beautiful, Tampa Bay and NDG!
