Finding another radio source: http://www.kcro.com/ KCRO (Christian-bent talk) and http://www.1420kotk.com/ KOTK (same company, standard news coverage)

The coverage out of Springfield, Illinois on 3/12 was pretty good. I think it was the NPR station there.

Yeah it was. I actually sent them an e-mail and got a good response on their coverage on the day after.

KOMU-TV (Columbia, MO) has a good WeatherPlus stream that runs 24 hours a day and breaks for local events when necessary.

Any ol'e joker could call in and say there is a tornado... there are no confirmed reports, and no reports of damage... yet.

5 (although one seems like two reports of the same tornado). It will be up to the local offices to call it a tornado.

Pontotoc County, OK - needs to be a tornado warning issued

ON THE GROUND according to KFOR - leaves falling out of the sky.

I'm really concerned about Ada (population 17,000) - and OUN has not issued a tornado warning so there could be some downplaying.

They should always issue a tornado warning the moment that a funnel cloud is dropped, or if radar shows significant rotation.

Complete agreed. That's the whole point of spotters. The helicopter had even gotten into a small vortex.

OUN for some reason seems to want to wait until its on the ground before issuing a TOR, no matter if there is a wall/funnel or strong radar indicated rotation (which this has or has had)

That's a dangerous move, since if it touches down instantly (and it can) and is severe, people could be underestimated...

No tornado warnings at this moment - right now just trying to find media links to prepare for the next wave of severe activity...it's going to be a long night!
