Re: Florida Weather Thread-Flirting with 90!

Meanwhile, back in Texas, it was 87ºF at Galveston with a WNW wind at noon CDT, before the wind shifted to WSW and knocked it back down to 84ºF.

If it weren't for the mother of all capping inversions and a convective temperature over 110ºF,I might almost expect sea breeze showers today.

In my house.

Very high temps: 91.6°F @ 1:02 PM

Heat Index: 107°F @ 11:53 AM

I have a Vantage Pro2. I think the measurements are very reliable.

Houston hit 90ºF yesterday, signalling that Old Man Winter is finally relaxing his icy grip on The Lone Star State.

You Floridians who don't have to scrape frost off your windshields several mornings each December and January may not know what a relief the arrival of Spring brings to a wamr weather fan like myself.

100ºF ( 38º) in Junction,West of San Antonio, but its a dry heat, with the dewpoint only 48ºF

Low 90s in Houston area, but 83ºF at galveston, thanks to the sea breeze.

Let me tell ya, I lived in NY for 12 years of my life, and I helped scrape ice off of cars for 3+ months/year. I would take that over 90F anyday.

Pretty hot today, upper 80s, wouldn't be surprised if it touched 90. Saw some buildups while playing golf, very little rain though, just a couple sprinkles. Dewpoint above 70 degrees, it was sticky out there.
