POPs have been popped up to a summerlike 50% on Friday and Saturday, and 40% on Thursday. I think this has juiced the air just enough to help begin the summer type pattern I dont think we are there yet, but only a week or so away.

Beneficial rain (and maybe some hail and gusty winds) for North Florida?

Denis mentioned the GFS storm. Also, TITAN, which has been nailing the latest storms, shows 2+" over the majority of the area tomorrow in CFL.

ECMWF develops a EPAC system, that by 240 hours has weakened as it heads due North across Central America. Just extrapolating, with minor -removed-, although we could use the rain here near Houston, it should eventually feel the Westerlies and bend towards Florida, providing beneficial rainfall that breaks the mini-drought, with the now re-moisturized Everglades/Okechobee/Kissimmee river basin providing a little extra support for EC and WC sea breeze storms that bring rain as far North as the Daytona area, ensuring wildfires don't cancel this years Fourth of July weekend Coke Zero 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race.

o.k. - I'm lost.... the channel 13 guy said possible severe weather on Saturday. I checked the SPC and didn't see anything. What am I missing??? I didn't read anything in the last NWS update that would allude to that either.

Yeah, me either - just happened to see it. He kinda back tracked in the last weather segment and said the severe weather won't effect us.

Just kinda caught me off guard there for a minute. lol

Did this month feature the greatest number of days in which record daily highs were tied or exceeded at one or more SE FL observational stations? It certainly may rank near the top.

Yup, sure did. Drove down here to work this morning and it drizzled all the way. The radar sure looks nice with all that rain out in the gulf!

Very strong storm passing through the Broward/West Palm boarder right now. Getting alot of lightning and thunder.

How long should this flare up continue for? http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid= ... 1&loop=yes

Had a very nice thunderstorm pass through with at least 50 mph winds. It looked like a true TS out there.
