well once again mother nature has managed to perform another successful convective bypass surgery for northern pinellas county. not a single drop for me but i can hear thunder and see ominous skies to my south. there are some more cauliflower heads popping to my east so maybe there is still some hope.

Very heavy rains and 2 rounds of strong winds, each lasting about
4 minutes each, though the heaviest rain is west of my area.
I would estimate those winds to be in the 40-55 mph range.
Lost power twice for 20 seconds or so.

Biggest Storms now 5-10 miles west over the beaches
of pinellas county. Albert Whitted reported NE Winds 25 mph
gusts to 35 mph but I expect there will be some storm reports
over 35 mph.
http://www.srh.noaa.gov/tbw

Conditions are calm now, with blue sky to the east and a
very dark sky to the southwest

Dang! You Pinellas folks have been getting the rough weather lately.

All I got out of my little rain was 1/10. Seems like I am stuck at getting only a 1/10 lately.

feederband - I'm trying to back up some of this rain to you - but it ain't working.

I would guess that winds were about 45-50mph wind driving rains. I went to Cici's when the rain was tapering down and saw a lot of minor debris around. Nothing major at all. I had an awning bend by the winds.

And, if you havent looked, theres more to the east.

I'm getting ready for round 2 and it doesn't sound pretty. Gotta hook the power strip up now.

I hope tomorrow we can get something more significant in the east coast of Florida with the arrival of the ULL. Today it has been a beautiful day with sunshine and a few clouds.
