It's Martinique and Dominica having the worst the last 4 hours. Constant showers and thunderstorms right now. I followed it on the radar and guadeloupe weather was relatively mild. Guadeloupe will follow....... Don't worry 8-)

Be safe!

Since 30 minutes in my location in Guadeloupe: moderate showers with numerous lightnings, thunder is rumbling frequently, some gusts sometimes but not too strong...

Yeah for sure tkanks my friend. Seems that the showers are making the come back, weather is grey overcast, winds are calm in my area. For the moment no damages to report in my area, whereas the level of river in the locality of Goyave (Guadeloupe) has been up. Hearing the radio we should continue all the day with a risk of strong tstorms, showers and gusts. Let's see what pan's out during the next couple of hours. Convection has grown during the last given the sat pic, so sudden burst can occur anywhere in the Leewards even portions of the Northern Leewards.
Be safe all my friends in the islands :)

Here is some measurements in Guadeloupe last night related to TS ERIKA:
Meteo-France reported 92 millimeters of water in Basse-Terre near HUC location and 52 millimeters at les "SAINTES" 45 millimeters. Stay tuned hoping that another measurements could occur...

Anothers measurements this time given Meteo-France Martinica:
Yesterday night 40 to 120 millimeters have been reported on the island, especially in the North and the area strecthing form St Esprit to St Marie: 118 milllimeters at Trinité, 91 millimeters at St Esprit, 87 millimeters at St Pierre and from 37 to 77 millimeters near Fort-de- France! Not so bad for a weak TS
Sometimes the intensity has been strong! For example between 2AM to 4AM we have reported: 50 millimeters at Trinité, 40 at St Marie, 32 millimeters at St Joseph. These amounts of water have been accompanied by tstorms.

Here is the latest weather forecast for Guadeloupe and the Northern Leewards Islands during the next 24H
Code orange for Guadeloupe and the Northern Leewards (whereas Martinica has put an orange code not related with the TS effects but for strongs showers and tstorms, just an info my friends, as Martinica is our neighbour from the south :) )

Forecast at 6AM this morning:
TS Erika is always a disorganized system but who stretches this time from the Northern Leewards until south of Martinica (Ste Lucia). Center of Erika was estimated at 5AM near 16,5N 62.7W at 140 kilometers west of Guadeloupe. Erika is moving slowly at 11kilometers withs sustained winds at 35 kts (65 kilometers per hour) and gusts near 45 kts (80 kilometers per hour). So it's a weak TS but associated with an important convective activity brigining strong showers and tstorms.
Yesterday night, Basse-Terre has experienced 92 millimeters of water and " les Saintes" 45 millimeters

Today the weather is once again very perturbed and bad. Strong tstorms and rain showers are in store, with some periods of accalmies are expected. Tonight these showers, rains, tstorms and gustywinds will in a decreasing trend.
Everybdoy should be prudent, because of a risk of flooding, muslides are highly possible during the next 24H.

Glad to see you my friend. Showers are coming back here, many shools are closed right now due to the bad weather conditions. It's awfull to se that this the day of the arrival of Erika that the institutions related to the school do not anticipate the effects of Erika. Troubles ahead of the students...
Be safe Luis. :)

I am glad Erika is fizzling out but I really do want some rain.
It sounds like you are OK in Guadeloupe, Gusty, and I hope everyone in PR will be ok too.

Good Morning!

We had heavy showers and Tstorms all night. Still rain and thunder. Looks like it will last all day as well.

Good to hear everybody is OK. Moderate storm but very powerful energy and large.
