Haha, man I am so over this heat. This Summer can go away now. I can't even get into my annual Fall spirit because it's just too hot to even think it's Fall yet.

100%. Up here, at least this should be the last day of this brutal crap.

The constant need to be right and correct people is, and again, it makes this forum un-enjoyable. He responds to every post that he thinks someone is wrong. There is no need for that here.

So far, 107° is today's high at Austin Camp Mabry. That's a tie for the hottest temperature on record for so late in the season.

Today's average temperature of 92.0° tied September 2, 2011, and September 3, 2000, for the fifth hottest September day on record.

In August I feel we can accept it, in September it hurts a little more :grr:. 70s with clouds and nearby rain next week will be like night and day! I need motivation to get the pumpkins...

Yes and that was the original intent, when ERCOT put out conservation appeal I posted it so that our posters would view and be informed of the situation. Do apologize if it went too far. Any further back and forth with this will be cleaned up.

Thank you all!

Of course it did go out with a last hurrah. DFW 110F was official high today, tying the hottest of the year at the airport.

Yukon looks to get blasted with storms up near the Falls. Let's hope they keep together and make a swing through North Texas tonight.

Really hoping this line of storms makes it here (Arlington). I bet if you went back to June when it was still raining some, eastern Tarrant and the area around DFW would have the lowest rainfall totals of anyone in North Texas. All the northwest flow events and outflow storms either just missed the airport site or collapsed right before they got there.

Two years in a row of doors sticking at my house and trim splitting apart from the frames. These summers can [REDACTED].

Got missed twice last week, but it's finally raining!

And hard. Nice lightning show as well.

Edit: Not a long time, but still almost .10, so a start. Looks like more coming from the north, and the temp cooled off 10 degrees. Just great to hear thunder again.

Phew, that has intensified fast. Got two cells merging on me, one severe now all of a sudden. Is this real life?

Edit to say it looks like Dallas County is in the screw zone tonight. Hopefully next week everybody will be happy.

Congrats to those getting rain tonight! I'm at 0.49". More cells to the north, hope those continue to slide south overnight.

Over 100k without power in the metroplex didn’t expect that. Supposedly gusts over 80mph.
