A nice rash of storms coming off the gulf of Mexico in towards the Tampa region which is good to see, also there is a nice group of storms setting off in southern Florida as well. All good stuff to see for the region that had a very dry May.

The sun is out and the sky is mostly sunny. The only clue of rain are the puddles in the street.

Still some rain is surely going to be better for your location then none at all, you still got a good half an inch there from the sounds of things which is ok.

Well, they've been promising us heavy rain down here for over a week. Looks like we're finally about to get it. :D

I was thinking that we could get 5 or 6 members to cover each of the NWS offices and produce a little summary/discussion for each day. I was doing Tampa Bay, but I don't know the other areas local influences. I think it would be neat to read those discussions every day. I think it would also give practice to those who are going into the field.

Finially, we are getting some beneficial rain, but this looks like a severe storm can pop up out of this in Miami-Dade or Broward:

Yep sure does EJ.

Also should be noted that a red flag warning is up for parts of the Panhandle.
