How hot are the temps?

90s possibly mid 90s for some. That is hot for early Oct when averages fall to the 70s.

summer is like that random fly that buzzes around your face and wont leave you alone no matter how many times you swat it away.

It's getting heavy too. Another wave of heavy rain moving in from the south/southeast.

Yeah, it got heavy here at work too in north Austin.

I'm hoping and praying I won't be sweating during Halloween when I go out with my five-year old this year.

I just saw the radar. Is that a third wave moving up into the Austin metro from the south? :D

We need all we can get, if the forecasts for warm and dry I'm seeing people post here on this forum are right.

No kidding! It's been years since we have had a cool or chilly Halloween. This past years wasn't too bad but still much warmer than when I was a kid. Was just talking to my mother the other day about those pumpkin trash bags we used to get and fill up with leaves. It's been about 20 years since we had one of those and at least 15 years since they stopped selling them here.

Yes that is indeed a 3rd wave moving in and it probably won't be the last. The plum of moisture is farther east than forecasts originally had it. About an inch has fallen here at the Rain Miser Cave. Could end up close to 2 before the day is over.

Love the look of the radar across south central Texas this afternoon! I'm very thankful for the widespread beneficial rainfall :D

The models struggled with the placement of the axis of heavy rainfall with this storm system...once again they had it too far west. EWX mentioned this in several AFDs over the past few days, and they had higher rainfall amounts for the IH-35 corridor than the models. Great job by the NWS recognizing the pattern with these types of set ups.

Looks like the DFW area could see some higher rain chances later in the week.

We have about 2 inches also. Although, just found out that there is a leak inside house from Harvey, which we thought was already fixed. Hasn't rained here in a month, so this rain exposed the problem. :-( We'll be calling back insurance again, making sure they know this is still same claim. Thankful for rain in general, but am peeved right now with leak.

You folks have been lucky! The rain bands have mostly fallen apart up here as they came close.

I'm still seeing signs of a hot start to October next week
