End of Euro has a fairly cool air mass (for September) coming down east of the Rockies. Perhaps a real fall front?

let's hope... I've been concerned we might torch after Florence but I'd love to be wrong. Haven't seen any real signs of it either.

Me too. But hey, it is starting to get really late for summer like torching. At best you're looking at 90s due to climo. But yeah I don't see any major torches either. Maybe we can pull off the recently rare back to back months of below normal (Aug was -0.5 at DFW)

Come on Isaac, not that the gulf needs the system, but even with all the rain of late here in NTX we could see use the rainfall. It sure would help going into Fall/Winter with a high ground moisture count to help maintain lower ground temps.

I've learned to root against Gulf systems developing for rain purposes in north Texas. Although the additional soil moisture would be nice, they tend to being on long term drought. I would much rather see the eastern Pacific light up and bring copious rain for the entire month of October!

I last touched 80 briefly on Saturday. The last couple days have been stuck between 69 and 72 with drizzle to light rain almost constant.

These past few days here have been a bummer for me. We’ve had 60-80% rain chances and haven’t gotten much of anything besides some off and on light rain. All of the action has been along the coast and east of Houston into Louisiana

For the third day in a row DFW did not hit 80. 2014 was the last time that happened.

We've been near or hit 100F the past several Septembers, hopefully that won't happen this year. So far so good.
