Is this really the shift to a cooler weather pattern for Florida? That is a bit early, isn't it?

Yep, 68 here now was 67 again this a.m. when I woke up.
Got all the winders open as I did yesterday till about noon. Hopefully I will see a difference in the power bill if this keeps up.

Re: Florida Weather Thread - A breath of autumn on its way?

At Miami International Airport, the high temp. today was 85F.
This is the coolest daytime high in 6 weeks. The dewpoints today were also in the upper 60s, much more comfortable
than recent weeks for sure.

The coolest daytime highs at Miami this summer:-

Sep 26 85F NIL
August 18 84F 3.06 inches (associated with TS FAY)
July 6 85F 0.20 inches
June 18 85F 1.76 inches

Miami FL even cooler today, with a high of 83F, albeit more humid with dewpoints back into the low 70s.

But today was the coolest daytime high since May 26/08 when the high was also 83F.
Effectively, this was the coolest daytime high in 4 months for the airport.

Re: Florida Weather Thread - Stationary front retrogrades north

Central Florida is really having an unusually nice start to fall this year. I am noticing that the forecast for the Orlando area calls for lows to once again dip into the middle 60s by the mid to later part of this week. Pretty impressive to see this many sub-70F nights showing up in late September/early October. The parade of Florida cold fronts is definitely a couple of weeks early this year. It will be interesting to see if this trend continues through the rest of the fall and into the winter.

Its not too horribly uncomfortable right now. Going to try one more night of the window open. IF its raining tomorrow night ill leave it open if it looks like its gonna rain awhile to listen to the rain.
