Lots of agitated looking cumulus around Dallas right now. Still looks like we will miss most of the severe weather to the east today, but it does feel like something is trying to happen

Video footage of the Carthage, TX Tornado, the tornado was on the south side of Carthage, TX
According to drought.gov, the majority of the state is experiencing precipitation departures 0-75% of normal for the past 60 days. The only areas receiving surplus or normal amounts are the Panhandle and Northeast Texas. I am hoping that things change soon or the subject may quickly switch to talk about extreme drought. Anyone seeing a potential pattern change in the models?

12z GFS is hinting a potental storm for Southern Texas in Early April (April 7th to April 14th)

Models are in pretty good agreement on a relatively calm 7-day period for Texas with the next major system out in the 10+ day range. Track is a big question at this point but anything that kicks out this time yr will pose a svr wx threat.

Maybe some showers overnight, but a nice stretch of weather after today with less humidity. Temps holding in the 60's and 70's for a few days before humidity, warmer temps and storm chances return as we get into April. Might be the last cool shot for a long time.

I remembered that a few years ago, there was a cold front in July that dropped lows to a very crispy 53°F that night, it was AMAZING without the Humidity!
