BREAKING NEWS: Orlando, FL is now forecast by the NWS to break the all-time record low temperature for the month of October...

http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.ph ... 1.3742&e=0

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 42. North northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph.

...If this does indeed happen, then it will be quite historic. It is definitely not everyday that you see a city break an all-time record low.

**The old/current record low is 43F**

I wish NWS Tampa Bay would get their act together. Just about every other NWS around updates more than once or twice a day.

Checking the Miami records, the all-time low for October is 45ºF established on October 29, 1938. October 29 will also be when we get the coldest air but not record cold for us.

The front seems to have just gone through here. I had completely clear skies all day, then a line of very dark clouds went through. About 2/3rds of the way through the clouds a gust of wind (20-30mph) came in from the NNW. Soon after the clouds cleared, the wind remains at 10mph.

I dunno if I am buying it now. It seemed way cooler last night about this time, and was cool most of the day today. Its only 70* right now. Thats a big drop it has to make in the next 8 hours. Time will tell.

The biggest push of the front appears to just now be arriving in the Orlando area.

In the last hour, the dewpoint at the Orlando International Airport dropped from 57F to 40F. Pretty impressive one hour drop.

Doesn't look like we get a real warm up again till Thurs./Fri. thankfully in time for Halloween.
This is happening too quickly, usually these are our winter temps. LOL. Give me some fall first please.

Yeah, it is looking to be one chilly day for you guys over in Florida. As of 9am, the Orlando international airport is still only at 50-degrees. With a continuing north winds throughout the day, it looks like temperatures will struggle to reach the forecasted high of 64F.

It is also pretty cold down in South Florida. Miami is only near 58F this morning and Key West is at a breezy 67F. The highs today even down that far south will struggle to get above 70F. Miami is forecasting 71F and Key West is forecasting 69F. This is definitely a VERY RARE scenario for October. Usually you guys have to wait until late November/early December for your first cold front like this.
