Still raining here, a large area of rain is moving through.
The wind is much calmer.

Strong thunderstorms approaching Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and a strong
bow echo of potentially wind damage producing storms moving
into areas just south of Miami. Also there are marine hazards
for the Keys.

Looks like it was pretty dark and stormy there today. Good thing my flight got out before that squall line arrived!

And its also pouring rain in the Cayman Islands, Georgetown has seen 50mm/ 2 inches of rain so far.

Highs only in the low 70s at best in South Florida today,
warm spots today:
Naples 73F
Key West 73F
Ft Myers 74F
Punta Gorda 74F

Ft Lauderdale, not used to playing second fiddle, topped at 72F

Its been raining on and off all night, including right now. Nothing heavy, but everything at this point counts.

Agree....unfortunately, the KBDI index is alarmingly high, especially in the central part of the state. Average KBDI levels as we move from fall into winter are in the 200-400 range statewide. If the forecast for a dry winter (dryer than normal even...winter is the 'dry season') pans out, we could have a very bad fire season in the spring.
