...A FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 AM CDT FOR
KEOKUK...WASHINGTON...JOHNSON AND IOWA COUNTIES...

AT 411 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
THAT THE STRONGEST STORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL HAD MOVED
OUT OF THE WARNED AREA...BUT LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN IS EXPECTED TO
CONTINUE FOR ANOTHER TWO TO THREE HOURS. RADAR ESTIMATED RAINFALL
RANGES FROM TWO AND A HALF TO OVER FOUR INCHES IN A SWATH ACROSS
SOUTHERN IOWA AND JOHNSON COUNTIES...AND NORTHERN KEOKUK AND
WASHINGTON COUNTIES. FLASH FLOODING IS EXPECTED...ESPECIALLY IN
THESE AREAS.

SEVERAL LOCAL CREEKS AND RIVERS ARE ON THE RISE. OLD MANS AND CLEAR
CREEKS IN IOWA AND JOHNSON COUNTIES HAVE RISEN AT LEAST TWO FEET
ACCORDING TO LOCAL GAGES. THE ENGLISH RIVER NEAR PARNELL AND KALONA
IS ALSO RISING...HAVING JUMPED TWO TO THREE FEET IN THE LAST HOUR OR
SO. EVEN THE IOWA RIVER NEAR IOWA CITY IS RISING. THESE RISES ARE
EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT COUPLE HOURS.

LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO NORTH
ENGLISH...KESWICK...SOUTH ENGLISH...KINROSS..WEBSTER...WELLMAN...
KALONA...PARNELL...HILLS...KALONA...RIVERSIDE...AND LONE TREE.

* MINOR FLOODING IS OCCURRING AND MINOR FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 8.0 FEET.
* FORECAST...THE RIVER WILL CONTINUE TO FALL TO 8.1 FEET BY TUESDAY
MORNING AND IS EXPECTED TO FALL BELOW FLOOD STAGE BY LATE
THURSDAY MORNING.

* FORECAST...THE RIVER WILL CONTINUE TO FALL TO BELOW FLOOD STAGE BY
EARLY FRIDAY MORNING.
* IMPACT...AT 6.9 FEET...THE RIVER WALKWAY IN FORT ATKINSON BECOMES

* FORECAST...THE RIVER WILL CONTINUE TO FALL TO BELOW FLOOD STAGE BY
WEDNESDAY EARLY AFTERNOON.
* IMPACT...AT 7.0 FEET...THERE IS WIDESPREAD FLOODING OF LOWLAND AND
AGRICULTURAL LAND. THERE IS WIDESPREAD FLOODING OF ROADS IN THE
RIVERBEND CAMPGROUND ABOUT 5 MILES UPSTREAM OF MILFORD.

* FLOOD STAGE IS 9.0 FEET.
* MINOR FLOODING IS OCCURRING AND MINOR FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* FORECAST...THE RIVER WILL CONTINUE TO FALL TO BELOW FLOOD STAGE BY
MONDAY MORNING.
* IMPACT...AT 10.4 FEET...THIS LEVEL IS ABOUT A 20 PERCENT CHANCE
FLOOD MEANING THAT THERE IS A 20 PERCENT CHANCE IN ANY GIVEN YEAR
OF THE RIVER REACHING THIS LEVEL. FLOODWATERS START TO AFFECT LOW
SPOTS ON SOUTH RIVER ROAD ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF JANESVILLE.
