The storms split in two leaving Tarrant and Dallas dry. This is comical.

The north cluster is going pretty far north.

To quote Yogi Berra, it's deja vu all over again. More like a joke that isn't funny anymore.

Yep. Euro and GFS show a classic leeward cyclone developing over the Northern Great Plains next weekend with the LLJ kicking in Saturday evening in particular over the Southern Great Plains. Could be an interesting setup.

Poof for most of DFW. Anyway it’s been a nice “false fall” week.

True I can’t be selfish they needed it and they got it. I think my area finished with right around a half inch for the week unless we get another splash.

So far, much needed 4.3 inches for the week. Lucky and blessed to have it.

The precipitation map for today's system is going to be hilarious for Austin residents. This morning it looked like we'd get a decent rain. Then "poof" followed by reformation east of town and significant rains for areas between ATX and Houston. Happy for everyone who's getting the rain, but dang, that was serious fake out.

4.3 inches in one event?! I don't think I've gotten 4.3 inches total for the entire year at my house.

The southern part of that exceptional drought area isn't getting any real relief. Sad to watch storm after storm go poof as it approaches us down here.

At least the Rockies are getting some decent snowfalls for this time of year. Colorado and parts of NM been getting hammered recently too. Might help influence some pattern changes here.

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation

Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

Nice complex of storms is currently tracking southeastward across central TX and the Hill Country. Hope it holds together throughout the rest of the day!

Nada for Comal County again while areas in all directions get beneficial rain. I got a whopping 0.17 from this entire “event” over the past few days.

Oh well.

Outflow is already taking it out anyway Line filled in right to my east of course. Zero rain here again.

Just another day of living in stage 4 drought conditions down here.
