It's wierd...usually the bay keeps it warmer...but there is no wind...
wunderground stations nearby mostly around 40-41 degrees...but meadowlawn...the station
"closest" to where I am is showing 39*F

http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/fin ... pe=WEATHER

Update: 7:55 PM: still 38*F...Very close to the dew point, so it should be close to bottoming out..
downtown's dew point is about 34.

Update: 8:00 PM: Tampa International Airport is at 39*F

Haha! Might have to go winter shopping for your dog. :cheesy: My golden does just fine in cold or hot, but still likes to get a tan in the sun.

Notice the thick layer of cold air stratocumulus in the Northern Bahamas and roughly 75 miles east of SE Florida (Palm Beach, FL) -- seems to be slowly creeping back west tonight as the NW windflow has come to a halt with the big arctic high center drifting slowly east now over Northern Florida.

If we keep dropping at this rate then getting close to 20 might not be out of the question.. already down to 31 now.

I went back through my records...I found a few notable freezes that I had well,
forgotten about until now:

February 2006: Low of 28*F one morning with widespread thick frost
January 2003: This one was really intense because it was windy, 29*F but wind chill
of 18*F
January 1, 2001: 27*F
Early 1997: 27*F
Winter of 1995/1996: 27*F

Update at 10:25 PM EST: 35*F Outside

Well not a sight you usually see across Florida --- SE Counties of Florida of Palm Beach County, through Miami-Dade the "warm" areas so far tonight with temps in the mid 40s instead of 20s and 30s elsewhere across the state

Where in Orlando are you? Most of the other Orange County recording stations are still above freezing.
