Was the first time when y'all recorded that tornado and NWS told y'all to shove it?
ETA: IIRC, I thought it was a legit tornado.
Sorry just saw this. No because it was just off to the south. My son saw it and got the video. It was a legit TOG. Power flashes. May of 2015. I have on YouTube somewhere.

Cells coming off the dryline are a mixed bag. Looks like the northern couple of cells are struggling, but the cell due west of DFW looks to be getting its act together rather quickly.

I normally take these with a grain of salt but got bad vibes about this setup.

That cell west of DFW went from fledgling updraft to anvil with overshooting tops with the quickness.

What's the expected storm motion for these?
I'm not liking the placement of that one......

The couplet on that storm is really tightening up. Wouldn't be surprised to see it go TOR warned soon.
ETA: It actually looks a little less impressive in the last couple frames

Re: Texas Spring 2023
SPC removed the 10% tornado area, probably due to the cooler conditions/less instability from the earlier convection.

I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

The couplet is still there, it could be going on a Mesocyclone Replacement Cycle.

Re: Texas Spring 2023
Severe threat ramping up across DFW (mean looking storm/hailer approaching Mineral Wells), but the HRRR is still delivering its own version of "don't stop believing" for snow if you're in the South Central Texas region. I refuse to believe the snow making into the SA metro for now but nonetheless I may not have to drive too far. Crazy!

Re: Texas Spring 2023
Definitely seeing some weak rotation per radar now with the storm moving east toward Fort Worth approaching Weatherford (monster storm).
Edit: Those splits are typically not a good sign with the "right mover" now heading toward Fort Worth. At a minimum big hail producer. Heads up Forth Worth region

Several Fort Worth TXDOT Cameras have a good visual of the Fort Worth Supercell, that thing is mean.

Re: Texas Spring 2023
We have our cars in the garage, but we just replaced a bunch of shingles from the last wind storm.
We are having to change insurance policies because they are jacking up our rate by almost $1500 a year despite no claims. But, that means we now will have a 2% deductible on wind/hail roof damage instead of 1%.
I think I am north of where any potential tornado will go through, but this storm looks nasty.
So nasty I may pull out the old PC I never use to just use GRlevelx.

No. Just had the roof done. 1% deductible is a lot.
