just to show how crazy this is... this would be an average July or August :double: July 85.3 August 85.6

btw its now the 0z Euro that briefly breaks the heat(a tad) down in N TX with a high of only 86 for DFW on Friday and a low in the mid 60s :roflmao: and 87 next Sunday with the usual in between

also the GFS/CMC show a bigger front around and just beyond day 10, now we'll see if this one actually holds up(one is gonna have to soon...)

Boy I sure hope you guys are wrong with these 2012-13 analogs. I took a look back at that late fall and winter and it really sucked! LOL.

Hope this actually happens. I would like a day with a high of only 86 and a low in the mid 60s. :cheesy:

The lows seem to be running about 15 degrees above normal every single day with some early morning humidity thrown in to make it more unpleasant.

The 12z Euro has highs around 80 next Sunday and Monday at DFW and even has a 59 Monday morning :cold:

I am praying to the Lord above this comes to fruition. I could release some serious weather anger here but I will remain patient as we wait out one of the worst weather patterns ever.

The 12z Euro EPS and the 18z GEFS both are showing signs of a pattern change. Models tend to rush pattern changes so maybe push that back just a bit towards mid-month?

So if a storm like Nuri could dislodge the jet stream and send polar air pouring into North America in November as we all remember several years back... What can a storm like Lorenzo do to Eurasia's weather, and what could that ripple effect to to ours?

Nuri had profound upstream and downstream effects that we can clearly connect, also effecting the NP/EPO domain which is the cold loading index for North America.

It will be much tougher to discern effects down the road from Lorenzo being that it would be less direct, perhaps toy with the NAO should it bomb out in the very high latitudes of Europe? Aside from that, it continues the very high Atlantic activity sector, with ridge-trough pattern that thus far coincides with the hottest/driest September in DFW history.

I heard showers at around 3:30 this morning. Looked at gauge. About 0.4", the most rain since JUNE at the Weatherdude abode. Now my station says 77 degrees with 91 percent humidity.lol. But the rainwater is nice!

12Z GFS 2m temp anomaly - through 240 hours. It looks like wxman57's wall was actually built on the red river, and does a pretty good job blocking things.

Cooler weather is irrelevant to me. We need rain.

"Cooler weather is irrelevant to me. We need rain."

If we don't get decent rain this fall in parts of Texas, we are in big trouble drought wise.

Cooler weather and rain go together usually except for really cold temps.

Yeah and it’s still not looking like we’ll see any decent rains for most of the state anytime soon. Sucks :x
