Re: Florida Weather Thread: Rainy season continues
Line of thunder off that ULL band as it spun through this am. Don't know how much rain we got but I don't think it was much.
Cooler this morning.

Nice monsoon downpour here. Dropped the temperature to 80*.
These bands of rain from the north are enhanced by the monsoon conditions but aren't a normal direction for late June rains. Maybe we'll have a weird hurricane season because of it. Maybe we'll see a switch to a SE coast pattern and away from the Caribbean long-tracker pattern.

Re: Florida Weather Thread: Rainy season continues
those showers and storms in Key West dropped the temperature to 73F around 10am this morning... the coolest temperature it has been all month at the airport..and the coolest in fact in 33 days...since May 22/09 when it fell to 69F.
temperatures have returned to the 80s ..and the reprieve was just for a few hours thanks to the rain.

Water Spout crossed the St Johns River just north of the Buckman Bridge (I-295) in Jacksonville.
Nice heavy rainstorm I missed by 5 minutes on my evening commute.

Will try to find some better images.
