My post was mostly a joke. I don't see any model soundings that support snow.

I see a cold rain with maybe some sleet pellets mixed in the further west you go (pretty iffy on if DFW proper sees any sleet). It is a classic minor sleet set up with a cool column but above freezing and a cold layer at 925mb below freezing. Maybe WF sees a coating of sleet. Very minor event but nonetheless interesting for April.
It will be the 11 year anniversary of the Easter Eve snow event of 2007.

12z WRF-ARW2 (which seemed to handle our winter wx events well this past winter)

The 12z Texas Tech drops a broken line of cells through DFW before developing two dominate cells that move southward.

Don't make me have to re-open my Fireplace for Saturday........That last round of rain was a big miss for much of Tarrant Co, got home and there was the typical water puddle in front of the garage, asked the boy how much rain fell? he said. it rained?

Its not snow... maybe some sleet but even thats wishful thinking, the NAM has done this several times this winter, look at the precip frames, its not frozen in the metro

Most likely just a cold rain assuming there's any precip left

Tropical Tidbits does have an issue with their algorithm for snowfall on the NAM, but this event at least could be supportive of some sleet for western NTX with a freezing layer at 925mb.
