Very stormy today. A second round of storms is pushing through north tampa. A second round of strong winds and heavy rain is now occuring. Quite a bit of lightning too.
This storminess is reminiscent of August, not May.

Only got rain once today, and only one bolt of lightning.

Heard thunder off and on for a couple hours yesterday afternoon.
Only .05" in the rain gauge though.

Well happened as expected today. Some showers/storms along the west coast of FL but most of the activity pushed into the Eastern part of the peninsula with extreme heavy rain and severe T-storms. Similar setup tomorrow except less activity along the west coast of FL north of Ft. Myers area, and Southern FL (eastern side of peninsular) should see the concentration, mostly from about Port St.lucie south

We finally got in on the action down here 7-8PM. Fun storm with some nice wind gusts and frequent lightning. Briefly thought there might have been hail, but they were only large drops, wind-driven.

whoa a pretty big bust in the forecast this afternoon and evening with 20% POPS at best. Chance of rain was as high as 50% earlier today. Now it is back down to 20% with just a trace of rain here in Central Palm Beach. Some larger cells developed south of Alligator alley in Everglades National Park where nobody lives.

Some torrential rain here in Tallahassee this evening - At times I could barely see more than 100 feet ahead of me. It made it a little interesting getting around a town I'm still in the process of learning

All of that seems to have pushed east unfortunately. Dry dry dry again. Definitely not a "hard start" to the rainy season.

Maybe a better chance of rain for the northern & central parts of the Peninsula over the next couple of days as the disturbance over the Carolinas moves in our gen way.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Probably need to keep them tightly crossed. FL is going to be on the "dry" side of this system. I know you guys probably need the rain and I hope you do get it. If you have any extra send it to SE TX.

The elongated circulation from 90L & UL disturbance rotating around is enough to bring us even better chance of rain for us here in NE & central FL than yesterday, I am already having some showers that came in from the Atlantic during the very early morning hours.

Rainy season is sort of on. A single cloud formed last evening from the mainland convection and rained on us for a half-hour. Strange direction of cloud formation from the north. Must have been 90L.

Today's rain is not from the rainy season. It's from a mixture of the moisture from 90L and the ULL near the carolinas.

No rainy season here yet.. We have not gotten the deep moisture to hang around yet..heck the lows were in the 60's last week. Highs in the 90's is another gauge it's still kinda dry..relatively speaking..We have had some rains but not the usual daily inland seabreeze collision patten. No hurries the grass is green and we are past the fire season dangers...well if the rainy season does actually kick in.

Glad somebody's grass is green! We are drying up here again - dang it. Storms all around us today - even drove through a nice soaker on the way home. Just sprinkles that dried up two minutes after they fell. :(
