We stayed and managed to get some beach time in today. However, now it's been raised for 70% tomorrow too. :raincloud: :Chit:

Yeah, now it's just getting outrageous with this thing's refusal to go anywhere.

On the plus side, more thunder and lightning starting up for me! :D

this weather sucks! i am all for some good summer convection but 5 days of nearly non stop cloud cover and rain is driving me nuts! too bad about your timing for your vacation Jason... this has been the worst week of summer here by far with the july 4th weekend the only other period of total washout conditions. my rain total for august is now well over a foot and of course it is raining now!

Good morning! We did manage to get some swim time in yesterday with a few peeks of sun. The rain moved-in again and the beach quickly cleared. We watched the dark line to our north slowly work its way south. Just inland, they had some flooding here in Manatee county.

It looks like by Saturday it will finally be back to normal again. Maybe the drive back to the airport will be nice :cheesy:

Well, with most of the convection sliding to the north and mostly staying offshore, hopefully you've been able to enjoy most of today.

Looks like KTLH is being finicky . . . again. Is this thing still on warranty? Can we trade it in for a new radar, please?

after a dry today it looks like the gulf has reloaded as a slug of very heavy rain is now approaching the coast from around tampa bay and points north. after a fairly dry june, we've caught up on rainfall and then some (alot).

Thu and Friday were just wonderful! I got some pretty god pics last night when a thunderstorm was moving towards Longboat key. It was a beautiful bright, white Cb cloud.

When we looked at the pictures through the week, it's interesting to see the waves get progressively calmer. Today, I when I woke-up, I walked along the beach and the water was calm, beautiful and still.

Back to the TX thread for me - it was 96F when we landed back in Houston.

Thank you! I will miss FL as well. I was frustrated the first few days but overall, we had a very nice vacation. When it did finally clear-up, it made it that much sweeter :D

Now I just gotta figure out how to move back down there

after approx 15.5" of rain in august, the last few dry days have been great. you know the summer's been hot when a 90 degree temp and a 70 degree dewpoint feels autumnal! it looks like more heat, humidity and storms are moving back in.

Completely fed up with summer in Florida. I can ALMOST feel a change in the weather this week. It is a bit more comfortable in the mornings and in the evenings. I would LOVE to see temps UNDER 90 degrees. 88 is fine. I am want to open and air the house out!! From experience, we usually get a slight cool down front sometime in September, before it goes back to being stupid hot in October. Has anyone seen the models even HINT at when our usually SLIGHT cool down front may visit?

Yes the mercury dipped to 63 degrees at my home location in north Jacksonville, FL. It was the coolest reading I have registered since early May.

Wow..We really did have a nice cool front pass! It's about 5-8 degrees cooler than the summer pattern down here in SW Florida. Dewpoints down as well with a massive dry area in the backside of the front. :D

I registered a low of 61 degrees at my home earlier this morning! It felt wonderful. It is even going to get cooler this upcoming week as the Eastern CONUS will have a surge of cooler air dive down Southeast out of Canada. Expecting minimum temps to drop down into the low 50s by Tuesday morning with some upper 40s possible over inland NE FL/SE GA by mid week.

Bring on Fall! After such a brutally hot summer I'll take this weather anytime!
