That could give people a false sense of security. People think a tornado risk is lessened, but people will think they are safe. Than comes a squall line with strong winds during a time when many people are out.

I doubt that.

So far, even the developing squall line looks pedestrian, that is, it looks like the storms are immediately undercut by the cooler air.


There is still time for the line to get worse, but so far, we get get lucky and get a busted tornado watch.

I'm assuming that's a tornado in that satellite? Amazing! I'm in Lumberton near Beaumont. Waiting ---not so very patiently for this yukky stuff to get here so that it will end. I'm fascinated w/the weather but it skeers me too!!

It looks to me the worst storms are southwest of Lufkin and moving NE. At least the tornadic storms.

There's some nice rotation in northern San Jacinto County.
