There isn't much wind either. I'm waiting for the newest weather report, which makes things sound better than yesterday's did!

Like you my work is outside... no landscaping being done today that's for sure. Up on a hill here and cant see south coast light house a few miles away

Mornin' all. Light rain off and on for the last couple hours. Sky's grey mostly with some sun peeking out every now and then. Lucky for me my work keeps me inside. A safe day to all.

Good morning everyone
Quiet morning here. Skies were cloudy this morning but now it's just hazy with a pretty stiff breeze.
The airport reports wind from the East at 21 MPH.
After my last report yesterday afternoon we had a heavy thunderstorm last night around 8 PM.
Rainfall was heavy, thunder was loud, with strong lightening flashes.
It was over in 15 minutes.
Trufthfully we cannot record any significant rainfall over all from this last tropical wave that passed through.

Same here, caribsue. I'm bracing for a bright flash of lightning at any moment, accompanied by a deafening roll of thunder. Gives me the creeps sometimes (the anticipation of that first flash). When it happens, I'm shuttin' this baby down because I've had too many experiences with lightning doing nasty things to both this computer and my older one (in spite of having them attached to surge protectors).

Hey ABajan.... I guessing you just got what I got thunder, lightining.... I live on the south coast on a ridge and i cant see the sea ... a matter of maybe 1 mile. South Point lighthouse completely out of view needless to say. This little system seems to be unleashing quite a bit of water. Waiting to see if the met office is gonna issue a severe weather warning or a flood watch.

Seems that another carib friend from BARBADOS confirmed somewhat the weather deterioration (from the weather site Stormcarib.com):noisy loads of water are falling...in a "stormy" atmosphere. Stay very safe my friends from Barbados!

The RAIN has started - it is falling so loud not only can't you hear anything like someone talking to you or the radio, there is a fog everywhere. What I can see is that the street lights have all come on for the visibility. Will report later - but for now will close off as I would assume very shortly we will have some thunder and lightening. It is that kind of storm.

As you see the 41101 buoy, registered strong winds...

For your info ,Meteo - France buoy 41100 that was North of 41101 disconet from his anchor, and gone away,loosing...as saying to me the chief of the local weather office...What a pity!!!!

Hi All,

Well as you know I am still learning much about the weather, but todays I guess must be due to the I97 that stormcarib has been warning us about for a good few days.

Had a good sunny start but that was very quickly replaced by lots of heavy rain, and that has been about it for the rest of the morning so far! Lots of really heavy showers, strong winds during them, but no thunder etc around today. The gusts of wind are very strong, they've been blowing the garden furniture around, so tied them down before they end up in my neighbours garden down the hill!

Any big changes I will update the situation, take care everyone

That had me all excited until I looked at the satellite. If that was from a low level circulation, it is way ahead of the showers and storms.
