Possible but being that it's going to be out ahead of the main frontal boundary, likely anything prior to that would be a "bonus" round in terms of rainfall. To your point the hail threat would probably be maximized with the isolated activity out ahead of the main line later this evening though.

Looks like DFW at least got a few raindrops to end the rainless streak, but I'm sure it's less than .05.

Got about 10 minutes of light rain here. Always frustrating to see storms blow up just east of us. Y'all central Texans be safe down there today.

Are we all clear in DFW now, or is there another round coming?

Even NW Oklahoma may get 1-3 inches of rain! Which is going to be very welcome up there!

Looks like it's got a nasty hailcore too. My radar app suggests >=2.25" size.

Poor Uvalde. Tough town.

The storm is dipping to the south, but more storms have developed to the north and moving toward San Antonio.

Some nice slow moving clusters of storms over Central and South Texas this evening. Also, the Euro says, "Hold on to your butts!"

Well, when you have something like this, there is a higher chance for more violent storms when the warm air collides with the colder air.
