Day 2 what a difference a year makes working on a 2+ inch storm as bad as last nights storm. Still have power but that comment is prbably the kiss of death.

Yikes!
We had a bad summer storm this afternoon. Power was out for about 30 minutes...

You know how much rain I've gotten from both squall lines combined? A mere 0.02" earlier...last night it dissipated before making it here. Tonight it made it here barely, but the storms died down, leaving only greens and yellows on the radar, which then split around us.

I know what you mean Brunota, we just missed out with the Thunderstorm that dropped 4 inches in New Bern. I could see the rain line from my house but it never made it here. Even today, we had only 1/2 inch from the storms that soaked you.

You got more than we did at the house. A total of 0.26" here from yesterday.

All the storms did was surround us. Places to the south, north, and east got pounded. They blew up as they passed over the house, only to dump the rain elsewhere.
