Has the Rainy Season Arrived Early for South Florida?

Looking at Sat and radar imagery this afternoon certainly makes a convincing argument. So it probably has not quite yet arrived but indications are that it may arrive early this year....the earliest it has arrived is Apr. 24th. Again not at all worried about drought for South Florida.

It was warm today, especially in the sun. Gulf cooled it back down by evening. I know what you mean though it is humid. 83*

Yes, humidy and scattered showers. It's not the rainy season but it certainly is giving us an appetizer. Less POPS should be around for rest of this week, but should see isolated areas here and there.
There is usually another pretty decent cold front that sweeps through FL in April, so should expect that to happen. I'm thinking that may happen during the third week of April sometime lasting about 2 days or so. Long-range models (GFS) show some ULL's riding the northern JET through the Ohio Valley in the long-range, which will likely drag through some fronts into FL...and increase chances of POPs along with it.
