Question about spotter certification

I got the online certificate shown below when I took my local NWS office's online spotter certification test.
If I have this does it mean that I still need to take the human offered one or not? :?

Joshua.. hmmmmm not sure.Did they mention about sending you your spotter I.D.?# and 1-800 number that you call to report severe weather?

Yes I have a spotter ID and the 1-800 # for my local NWS office
but I got that about 8 months PRIOR to the date on the certificate shown above.

I took the online course, but, didn't get anything
like that. I took the "human" one, and, got a
card in the mail with my spotter ID# on it.
Did you take a class to get your ID#?

Hello Josh...
I have seen this website from the NWS office you took this at. Personally, I would still take a "human" spotter training course. That way, the NWS folks in your area KNOW you are trained by then and, and you're on "the same page" as all the other trained spotters. :?
I have done spotter training (yes, I am NWS) for several years, and there's nothing like in person training. That gives the staff at the local NWS confidence that you have been given the same information.

The only problem is I do not drive. When I chase and spot, I have others drive me around with them.

What if you become a trained NWS Storm Spotter, but for one reason or another don't send in reports because of for some reason lack of knowledge according to the National Weather Service, but you yourself understand what you are reporting?
This may sound like an odd post. My apologizes.

I understand.
Anyway; my local NWS sent me a bunch of brochures, which I read; and when I took the test I scored a 100% on it.
I must admit I am a bit bad at guessing wind speeds and rainfall amounts but I do have a rain gauge to help with the rain part. I just don't know what to do about the wind though. :?

Yeah Joshua. I would suggest that you go to a training class. It would help any uncertainties you may have, ie. estimating wind speeds, etc.

Like I stated earlier I do not drive. So I would have to go to one of the ones that my local NWS holds in my area; and in that case I could take the public bus there.
