It's still a week and a day away....but early indications from NWS Miami's Discussion today show a benign weather pattern setting up across south florida next weekend:

A SIGNIFICANT SHORT WAVE TROUGH ON THE SUBTROPICAL JET SHOULD MOVE
FROM NRN MEXICO OVER THE GULF OF MEX INDUCING THE DEVELOPMENT OF
YET ANOTHER SFC LOW/FRONTAL SYSTEM AND PUSH IT EASTWARD AND ACROSS
THE PENINSULA BY FRIDAY AND SOUTHEAST OF THE BY SATURDAY WITH DRY
WEATHER CONDITIONS AND NEAR NORMAL TEMPS EXPECTED BY THE END OF
THE WEEKEND
.

:sun: :sun: :sun:

Normal for February 7th in Miami is a high/low of 77/60. The coldest it has ever been on that day is 40 deg (record set in 1978)...the record high for the date is 87 (record set in 2003).

Day before Superbowl....not too tough to take for folks streaming into south florida. Current temps in the mid 70s with fair skies.

Sunny skies in Palm Beach today but wow was the wind howling so really not a good day to be outside. Even with the windows open the wind seemed to be just ripping through my house to the point I could only crack the windows without there being some gusts within my house.

Wind guests reached 36mph for two consecutive hourly intervals this afternoon at Palm Beach International. thats just a few mph short of tropical storm force gusts.
