Topeka, Kansas reached a high temprature of 106°F today at 3:53PM CDT. This breaks the old record of 105°F set back in 1936.
This is also the 6th day in a row that Topeka has had tempratures higher then 101°F.
Thankfully it ends tonight with a cold front.

Charleston, SC hit 105º on August 1st, 1999 to set the all-time hottest temperature in its modern day recorded history ... humidity was amazingly low for SC that day which resulted in heat indecies near the actual temperature. Some locales in Eastern South Carolina (Hartsville, Camden to name a couple) hit 108º.
That's hot even for Kansas.
