Looking for some information

I am going to be traveling to the Tampa area the week between Christmas and New Years in support of a work event that is taking place in Wesley Chappel and I am wondering if any of the locals from that area could let me know what the weather is usually like during this period. I know there is a pretty good chance I wont be seeing snow, so I will leave the snow boots and snow gear at home in Pittsburgh. But if someone could give me an idea of average temps and average conditions usually expected, I can make sure I pack the correct clothing. Thanks in advance for any and all information.

I am from St. Pete, and I can say that it will either be one of two ways during that week depending on the location of the front moving through. Christmas and NYE generally have the same weather, but the week in between is a toss up between 50s and 80s for highs. I have seen both and the chances of seeing either are pretty even. The climo for that time of year, which is always going to be off by at least 10 degrees that time of year in either direction is 70/61. You can almost bet on at least one front happening during that week, which if strong enough can plunge temps into the upper 20s at night.

you can get most anything at that time of the year. average is a high in the low 70's with lows in the low 50's but the reality is that those averages are arrived at as result of much warmer or colder real world temps. you could see highs and lows as warm as the low 80's and 60's or possibly highs as cool as the 50's with possible freezing temps at night. my suggestion would be to hold off on packing until you're ready to leave and can get a handle on the most likely weather for that week. enjoy your trip!
