Been watching this almost entirely stationary cell in KS. I didn't notice it til 7:30pm CST, but it certainly hasn't moved in the last 2.5 hours. Here's a pic of the rainfall estimate which obviously is over-estimated, but still some crazy localized rainfall totals. Radar estimates are starting to show 10+ inches in a very localized area. Also included the warning below.

Another image of the radar estimate for rainfall total from this cell. This one shows over 6"+ in a very localized area. The cell finally dissipated around 11:30pm, after sitting over the same lone area for over 4 hours.

Was this near Madison, KS also. If it was this storm did produce baseball sized hail and a lot of funnel clouds. Don't know if any developed into tornadoes or not.

Where'd you see the reports of a lot of funnel clouds? Was there a tornado warning for this storm that I missed?

I am not positive if it was ever warned, but a lot of chasers were on the storm and there were multiple reports of funnel clouds so I would presume it was eventually warned. Some were hit by baseball sized hail too. I was following the chasers on FB.

Here's a couple videos:

There was one more video I found from some chasers (sounded like young kids), but they were acting irresponsibly in my opinion, so not gonna link it.

Had basically the same thing happen in McAllen, Texas last night too. Lots of major damage from hail and an unconfirmed tornado(or it was earlier today-still need to check). At least one eyewitness report I read last night said it had been hailing for 20 minutes and was still going strong. It piled up like snow in some areas.

Yup, crazy stuff! When I used to live in the mountains of Colorado, we would often get hail storms that we called popcorn snow due to the way the tiny pellets bounce off the ground. It'd often accumulate up to two inches. Never seen it hail like that anywhere outside the mountains tho.
