Today was the 42nd record high (counting days only and not counting record warm nights) here so far this year.

Number of record highs so far as of June 8

January: 11
February: 2
March: 10
April: 10
May: 6
June: 3

All time monthy records were also set for January, March and April.

So far this year, only 1.54 inches of precipitation has fallen. Last year we were at 10.54. Normal is 7.69.

I've never seen it so dry and brown here this time of year. Usually this is the green time of year.

Yikes!!! That is not good. Can you say drought? Is NWS classifying it that way yet?

Wow that's crazy, not only was the snowpack short, but it also melted away a month early based upon that graph. Is there no snow at all left in high country?

There is always some snow in the backcountry (but who knows; maybe this will be the first year it all melts), but the snow that contributes to runoff is mostly gone. In a normal year, this would be peak runoff now and all the rivers would be full to their banks.

Speaking of crazy weather facts...

It looks like June 2012 will be the 32nd consecutive month above average in Montreal. In fact, the last time we had a below avg month was October 2009.

So between October 2009-June 2012 we have recorded...

-All-time high for the month of May in 2010.
-Tied all-time high for the month of September in 2010.
-Tied all-time high for the month of July in 2011.
-All-time high for the month of March in 2012.

-Warmest April on record in 2010.
-Second warmest March in 2010, third warmest March in 2012.
-Second warmest July in 2011, third warmest July in 2010.
-Second warmest November in 2011.

Not bad at all.
